Frank R. Shear (1932 – 2017)

Frank was born to parents Harry and Bertha Shear on May 22, 1932, in Savannah, Georgia. The family moved to Miami in 1935 and settled in the Southwest section. He graduated from Miami Senior High in 1950 and from The University of Miami in 1955, with a BS Degree in Architectural Engineering. He practiced Architectural Engineering in South Florida and in the Bahamas until 1968. He then started a Real Estate Development company, building investment properties in Hialeah and Kendall. In 1984, he started a custom home building business. He developed high end custom home communities in Pinecrest and Coral Gables. Frank retired in 1999, and moved with his wife Helene to St. Andrews Country Club in Boca Raton, FL. Frank had many talents and was a caring, kind, and wonderful person inside and out. Frank is survived by his loving Wife Helene of 30 years, his Brother Murray Shear (Dr. Carol), Daughter Sheri Davis (Barry), Son Gary Shear (Dana), and Grandchildren Aaron Davis (Julie), Amanda Davis, Myles Shear and Brett Shear, and two Great Granddaughters, Caroline and Abegail Davis. He is also survived by his Stepsons, Charles Cutler (Robyn), Bruce Cutler (Kim), Glenn Cutler- Michelle Cutler, and his Stepgrandchildren Sari, Jamie, Brandon, Myles, Claire, Juliette, Elle, and Laila. Services Sunday, July 30, 12:00 p.m. Temple Beth El, 333 SW 4th Avenue, Boca Raton, Followed by interment at Lakeside Memorial Park, 10301 NW 25th Street, Miami.
